Ingennus signs two new contracts in Haiti

Ingennus has recently signed two new contracts with the Ministry of Agriculture, Natural Resources and Rural Development (MARNDR) of Haiti.

The scope of these projects, focusing on the Strengthening of Agriculture Public Services (RESEPAG II) and Artisanal Fisheries Development (PÊCHE), can be carried out thanks to the public financing of the World Bank, through its Global Agriculture and Food Security Program (GAFSP), and the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB).

RESEPAG II

The general objective of RESEPAG II is to strengthen animal and plant health services, more specifically the improvement of public services. Ingennus has been commissioned to carry out the technical and architectural studies of the new headquarters of the Health Protection Unit (UPS). In addition to this assignment, a project type for a Departmental Center for Sanitary Protection will be developed, serving as a model for other similar centers that will be built in different locations.

Development of artisanal fisheries

The second contract signed includes the architectural and technical project of the building that will house the new public infrastructures of the fishing sector. In the framework of the Artisanal Fisheries Development Program, the project will contribute to the dynamization of the institutional management, and ultimately to the increase in the productivity of artisanal fisheries as well as to the economic upturn of this strategic sector for Haiti.

Thanks to these two initiatives, food security in Haiti will be strengthened through the promotion of the improvement of the capacities in the agricultural and fisheries sector; key for the development of the economy of the country and its industries.
